Thoughtful flavors, elegant presentation, excellent service, and lively ambiance. We went here for our anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. Perhaps the best chicken I have ever had; the morel sauce was perfect. Cocktails were also great. The only things I'd change are the steep prices (thankfully apps are half off on Thursdays) and the noise level. We were seated across from a large party who definitely brought the bar vibe. Place looked a lot more placid on Saturday night. Thinking it was the Cinco De Mayo crowd.
Beautiful place, we went at 9:30pm, it is on the quiet side. The bar tender did a great job and recommended some really good cocktails and wines to us. If only there is a TV to watch some games that will make it an even better place.
Nice spot for drinks, their Japanese old-fashioned is different! Purists may not approve but I was curious. Visited them once while on the way back from a race in Charlemont, MA. We were lucky to be seated at a high top without a wait around 5pm before it became too busy. Service was friendly and helpful. Aside from the Japanese old fashioned, we tried their truffle fries which came in a big serving size. Bathrooms looked nice with just 1 oddity being the seat wouldn’t seem to stay up on the toilet which led to, presumably, the prior male occupant having difficulties aiming
My husband and I held our wedding reception in their outside urban garden. The service was exceptional; prompt and attentive. The food was exquisite. John answered all of our questions, created a delectable cocktail menu, and helped us come up with an incredible food menu that everyone is still talking about! We can’t thank everyone at 116 Crown enough for helping us create the best night to celebrate our marriage!

Happened upon 116 Crown while walking about in New Haven tonight! This place had an extensive, unique drink menu that my husband was impressed by. The bartenders were very creative with their drink preparation and presentation and the one drink was even served with a little fire for effect. To add to the theme we ordered the s’mores which we prepared at the table with house made marshmallows. Definitely a fun idea. The ambiance was very cool and inviting and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend stopping in!
Devoured the decedent Outre cocktail last night, unforgettable. What distinguishes this drink from it’s counterparts, are the basil and hibiscus crystals which occupy the top of the egg white float. Delivering a crunch, followed by a warm embrace usually reserved for the closest of friends. If you try one thing at 116 Crown, make sure it is the Outre. Ask for Kevin behind the bar, he will take care of you.
